Check the tension by
pulling or pushing
at the centre
of
the
belt between pulleyswith
a
force
of

(10 k9,22
lbs.)
as
indicated in the figure. Measure drive belt deflection.
Standard value:

(1)
Loosen
the nut of the pivot bolt of the
alternator.
(2)
Loosen
the lock
bolt.
(3) Turn the adjusting bolt
to
adjust the sag of the belt to the
standard value.

(4) Tighten the lock
bolt.
(5) Tighten the nut of the pivot bolt of the

Move power steering pump, tension belt moderately and
