4WD models. the basic principle
is
that
all
four
wheels
are
to
be
raised
before
towing.
o
The
shift lever should
be
set
to
1st gear
and
the parking brake should
be
applied.
Front
wheels lifted
-

o
The
vehicle must not
be
towed by placing
only its
front wheels
or only
the
rear
wheels
on
a
rolling dolly. because to do
so
will result
in
deterioration
of
the viscous
coupling
and
result
in
the viscous
coupling causing
the
vehicle to
jump forward suddenly.
Front
wheels lifted

lf only the
front wheels
or
only
the rear
wheels are lifted
fortowing, the bumperwill
be
damaged.

addition, lifting
of
the
rear
wheels causes
the
oilto flow
forward, and may resuh in heat
damage to

done.
