(1)Measure the
deflection
with a force
of
100N
(10 kg.22
lbs.) applied
to
belt mid-point
between tension pulley and
compressor
pulley.
(2) Any belt that has operated for
a
minimum of one half-hour
is considered
to
be a "used"
belt.
Adjust air conditioning
drive belt at the time
of
new-car preparation.
(3) Check drive belt tension
at
regular service intervals
and
adjust as
needed.
Standard value:
When a new belt is installed
4.5-5
mm (O.18-O.2 in.l
When
the
used
belt's tension is
adiusted
5.5-6
mm 10.22-O.24 in.l

(1) Witn the handle of the
special tool

and L2 turned back all
the way
(vaive close), install
the
special
tool

and

each high arid

pressure service
vaive.
Note
Install
the
high pressure service valve to the discharge port
of discharge hose, and the low pressure service valve to the
suction port
of
compressor.
Tighten the handle of the
specialtoolO
and
@ (valve open).
Connect
the
charging hose
to the
special
tool @ and
@.
With the
handle
of
the
special
tool @ tightened
(valve
open). install
the
special
tool
O
to the low
pressure side
charging
hose.
Insta!lthe vacuum
gauge
(M8991402)ro the specialtool@.
lnstall the vacuum pump to the high pressure side charging
hose.
