Engine speedometer
TACHOMETER INSPECTION
(1)
Insert
a paper clip in the connector from the
harness
s
and attach the engine
speedometer.
Caution
As the tachometer is negative earthed, do not connect
battery conversely
to
prcvent damaging transistor
and
diode.
NOTE
For tachometer inspection,
use of
a
fluxmeter-type engine
speedometer is recommended. (Because a fluxmeter önly
needs
to
be clipped to the high
tension
cable.)
(2)
Compare the readings of the engine speedometer and the
tachometer
at
every engine speed, and check
if
the
variations are within the standard
values.
