REMOVING THE ROCKER ARMS AND
CAMSHAFT
1. Straighten the lock plate tabs a.
2. Remove:
• lock plate 1
• camshaft retainer 2
3. Remove:
• camshaft 1
NOTE:
Screw a 10 mm bolt 2 into the threaded end
of the camshaft, and then pull the camshaft
out.
4. Remove:
• intake rocker arm shaft
• exhaust rocker arm shaft
• rocker arms
NOTE:
Remove the rocker arm shafts with the slide
hammer bolt 1 and weight 2.

CHECKING THE CAMSHAFT

1. Check:
• camshaft lobes
Blue discoloration/pitting/scratches →
Replace the camshaft.
