Calibration

Because the output of the scanner's light source changes slightly over time,
white point calibration is necessary to ensure consistent scanning results.
White point calibration should be carried out when the scanner is first
installed and each morning before starting work.
Geometric calibration and focus calibration are rarely necessary, but
should be done at the time of installation and can be repeated later if
necessary.
For instructions on all three types of calibration, please see "Scanner
Calibration and Focus Adjustment."
