Interpreting the Supplies Page

Several pieces of information about each of the printer's consumables are listed on the
Supplies Page.

Life remaining gauges

Gauges indicate the remaining life of each consumable. The toner cartridges indicate
if more than enough toner remains to print more that 500 prints at 5% coverage. The
other consumables' life gauges indicate remaining life as a percentage.
The life-remaining information for the imaging unit and the fuser is kept with those
consumables. The life-remaining information for the other consumables is maintained
by the printer and can be confused if the consumables are replaced when the printer
did not indicate that they should be replaced.

Date installed

The date installed is indicated for the imaging unit, fuser, main charge grid and fuser
roll.

Toner coverage

The imaging unit and the fuser also indicate the average toner coverage of the prints
that have passed though each unit. The greater the toner coverage the shorter the life
of the imaging unit and the fuser.

Print counts

In the corner of the information box for the imaging unit, fuser, main charge grid,
transfer kit and fuser roll is a hexidecimal number. The hexidecimal number indicates
the number of prints that have been processed through that unit.
