Before Asking for Repair, do the following when the Disk Expansion Unit appears to fail:
1. Confirm that the power cord and the cables connected to other devices are connected
correctly.
2. See to the "Troubleshooting" section. If your problem is documented, try to take the
relevant corrective actions.
3. Confirm that the software products required to operate the NEC Express server are
installed correctly.
4. Check the server with a virus detection program. Make a backup copy of the important
data saved on the hard disks.
If the steps listed above do not solve the error, do not conduct further processing but contact your
sales agent. Note any error messages appearing on the display, and which LEDs indicate a fault
(if any), this information will be valuable to diagnose your Disk Expansion Unit problems.
