PROBLEM
Cooktop element will not heat
higher than low-medium.
Cooktop element heats up nor-
mally, but drops to lower setting
automatically.
Indicator light does not operate.
Hot surface indicator light does
not operate.
Oven light fails to operate.
Electronic timer will not accept
programming.
Timer relay(s) do not close.
Oven will not bake (selection is
set for BAKE).
Oven will not bake (selection is
set for TIMED BAKE).
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Low line voltage.
Defective cooktop element.
Customer using improper cookware.
Defective cooktop control switch.
Loose or bad wiring to indicator
light.
Defective indicator light.
Defective cooktop control switch.
Loose or defective light.
Loose or bad wiring to indicator
light assembly.
Bulb burned out.
Circuit breaker or fuse is open.
Defective switch.
Failed electronic board.
Loose or bad wiring to timer.
Failed electronic board.
If indicator light lights up bake
element is defective.
Defective latch safety switch.
Loose or bad wiring.
Defective electronic clock.

SOLUTION
Line voltage should be minimum
240-volts. Electrician should re-
pair cause for low line voltage.
Check element.
Evaluate suitability of cookware.
Check switch.
Check wiring (see wiring dia-
grams).
Check indicator light.
Check switch.

and wiring.
Check bulb.
Check circuit breaker or fuse.
