Powering the MiFi 2200 On and Off To power the device on: ➤ ➊ Press the Power button until the Power LED lights up solid green. To power the device off: ➊ ➊ If the device is plugged into your computer with the USB Cable, unplug the USB cable from the device first.
Properly Connect the MiFi 2200 with the microUSB Cable ➊ ➊ Grip the MiFi 2200 by its sides and gently insert the USB Cable into the microUSB port. ➋ ➊ Insert the other end of the cable in a Type A USB port. The cable should fit easily into the USB port.

Connect in WiFi Mode IMPORTANT Your MiFi came preconfigured with a secure network name and password to prevent unauthorized access to your mobile broadband service. The unique network name (SSID) and network password (also called a network key) are printed on the back of the device. You will need this information to continue.
Windows, the MiFi 2200 automatically installs MobiLink the first time it is inserted into the computer’s USB port. On Mac OS X, the MiFi 2200 opens a Finder window with an installer package the first time it is inserted into the computer’s USB port.

Port Forwarding Incoming traffic from the Internet is normally prevented by the firewall from reaching devices on your local wireless network. Use port forwarding to allow Internet users to reach any server you are running on your computer, such as an FTP server. Also, some online games require incoming access to work properly.
