If the System/34 that you are installing does not have a
2400-bps integrated modem, go to paragraph 45-460.

If the communications cable is not attached to the
system, attach the cable to the cable tower
connector 0- 87 (line 1) or to 0- 86 (line 2) as
shown in Figure 45-6 .
If the communications cable is attached to the
system:
a. Remove the 0- 88 plate from the cable tower
(see Figure
45-6).
b. Pull the communications cable through the
0-88 opening.
c. Reinstall the 0-88 plate with the cable placed in
the location shown in Figure 45-6.

The other end of this cable is to be installed later.
Note: Paragraph 31-150 describes the internal
connection of the cable that is passed through the
0-88 plate.
If this is the last communications line to be
installed, install the cable retainer and reinstall the
cable tower cover (Figure
45-6).
