    ELLIPTICAL ASSEMBLY Frame assembly STEP 1. The screw D is loosely attached before assembly. Raise the main post or pedestal into position. Secure the pedestal Hardware in sequence, first A, then D, finally B and C. (See Fig. 1) Fig.1 STEP 2.

  • Page 9 STATIONARY HANDLEBAR ASSEMBLY STEP 1. Place the Stationary Handlebar onto the left and right Support Tubes. Tighten Screw E first; tighten screws A, B, C and D in order. STEP 2. Push the Support Tube End Caps downwards; make sure the caps fall into the Front Foot Pod firmly.
  • Page 10 JOINT COVERS ASSEMBLY To assemble the Joint covers, connect cover A and B tightly. Place cover C into position and secure screws. Distinguish the left and right sides of cover A and B; they are marked by R & L respectively. Fig.8...
  • Page 11 UPRIGHT ENCLOSURE ASSEMBLY STEP 1. Loosen the screw A and put it aside for a while. STEP 2. Connect the left and right enclosures onto the main frame. STEP 3. Loosely attach screw A and other four screws at both sides. Do not tighten them at this time.

    FOOT PEDAL ASSEMBLY Raise the Pedal Carriage a little bit. Place the Rubber Cushion Steel Clip onto Rubber Cushion. Fold the footpad up at both ends to access four screws. Secure them through the Footplate onto the Rubber Cushion. Do not remove screw A. Press the Footpad onto the Footplate firmly.

    FOOTPAD INSTALLATION DETAILS STEP 1. Make sure the middle nibs on the footpad are firmly placed into the middle holes on the footplate. Pull the nibs through the footplate until they fit snugly in place. STEP 2. Secure the front screws (shown as m1) on the footplate. Insert the front nibs into the holes on the footplate (shown as M).
  • Page 14 FLOOR LEVEL ADJUSMENT STEP 1. Elliptical trainers must be level for proper operation. Level the elliptical trainer by adjusting the feet . Raise or lower the leveling feet as needed. Tighten the washers against the frame to secure the feet. STEP 2.

    OVERVIEW OF PROGRAMS MANUAL This program allows you to adjust the level of resistance manually by pressing ▲ ▼ WORKOUT LEVEL keys. RANDOM Random program has an infinite number of programs. Continue to press this button until you find your desired course. PLATEAU In this program, the level of resistance will change according to the diagram shown.

    FAT BURN This program provides 20 workout levels to choose from. The preset combination ▲ ▼ is "STAGE 5". You can press Workout Level keys to swap to another stage. The information window will display your current stage for your reference. 6.
  • Page 23 c-1: It represents to catch the HR reading when the HR graphic flashes. A value (for example 124) shows a target heart rate that is set by user. The red dot represents a proposed(target) RPM. The bottom red line represents your current RPM. It would be better to line up red point and red line that means actual RPM consistent with target RPM.

    HOW TO USE YOUR E870 ELLIPTICAL Once you power up the elliptical, QUICK START and all PROGRAM LEDS will blink. You can select a program or press QUICK START to start your workout. QUICK START If you begin a workout by pressing QUICKSTART, the elliptical will start at resistance level one.

    You have now established user settings. Start pedaling to begin your workout. The display will scan the workout data every 6 seconds. You may change your selection of programs anytime during the workout. The new program will be used to achieve the remaining Workout Goal.

    MAINTAINING THE E870 ELLIPTICAL The Sports Art E870 requires little maintenance but regular cleaning is recommended to keep your elliptical at peak performance. Before your workout, use a dry cloth to clean the surface of the display.

    MAINTENANCE LUBRICATING Shoulder Joint NOTE: For best performance, lubricate elliptical trainer once a year. Use a grease gun filled with red lithium ball bearing grease. Such grease is available at automotive supply stores. Follow the steps below: STEP 1. Remove the cap underneath the cover. STEP 2.
