CHECKING THE BEARINGS AND OIL
SEALS
1. Check:
• bearings
Clean and lubricate the bearings, then
rotate the inner race with your finger.
Rough movement → Replace.
2. Check:
• oil seals
Damage/wear → Replace.

CHECKING THE REED VALVE

1. Measure:
• reed valve bending a
Out of specification → Replace.
Reed valve bending
<Limit>: 0.2 mm (0.008 in)
2. Measure:
• valve stopper height b
Out of specification → Adjust stopper/
replace valve stopper.
Valve stopper height
7.0 ~ 7.4 mm (0.28 ~ 0.29 in)
