Removing The Drain Pump - Whirlpool MVWC400XW Technical Education

Access to the drain pump is from the bottom
of the unit. The drain pump seals against
the tub at two points (see the image on the
right).
WARNING
Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect power before servicing.
Replace all parts and panels before
operating.
Failure to do so can result in death or
electrical shock.
1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
2. Turn off the water supply to the washer

3. Use cardboard or padding to lay washer
on the front cabinet.
4. Disconnect hoses
5. Remove the harness from the pump
motor.
6. Remove hose clamp and hose,
see figure 1.
7. Remove three (3) mounting screws,
see figure 2.
8. Remove pump assembly, see figure 2.
