PROBLEM
"HOT" indicator stays on Glass Surface too warm
No Pan Detection
TO AVOID ELECTRICAL SHOCK, POWER TO THE UNIT MUST BE DISCONNECTED BEFORE
DISASSEMBLING COOKTOP.

The effected burner will shutdown.
Shorted heat
sink thermistor.
Generator 2:
Shorted heat
sink thermistor.
Generator 3:
Shorted heat
sink thermistor.
PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH INDUCTION COOKTOP
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Electrical Noise spike
Defective Thermistor
Bad Control Board
Bad Glass Assembly
Incorrect Pan Type
Unit not wired properly
Unplug to check Resistance of Thermistor
Notes
Verify Glass Temp Below 50 °C
Check for other heat sources (e.g. Sun, warm pans setting on
surface ...)
Check for Error Codes & follow suggested action
Turn Breaker off for 5 min., reset and try
Check Resistance of Generator Thermistor (see Figure 5-4)
Replace Control Board
Replace Glass Assembly
Use only pans designed and tested for use with Induction
Verify unit supplied with correct voltage. Low voltage will allow
lights to work but pan detection will not function.
approx. 120K at room temperature.

Possible Source(s) of Failure
1. Induction generator failure.
Action: Perform Heatsink test
#4 and if all appear ok reset the
error and test operation
2. If error returns.
Action: Change affected
generator board
