a) START UP PROCEDURE - QUICK REFERENCE
STARTING THE UPS ON MAINS
1. Ensure that the input voltage is 230V, 50Hz, single phase.
2. All the wiring connections should be made as under :-
SHORTING LINKS

INPUT BYP.
3. Initially, connect only the input line, neutral and earth connection.
4. Switch ON the input isolator on the rear panel, the breaker on the left
side as seen from the back of the unit.
5. The fans should start running and the 'AC' & 'BYPASS' indications on
the front panel should be ON. Please check that two "shorting liks"
BYP-L, U4 & BYP-N, N4 are connected properly. Otherwise, the fans
will not start.
6. Check the DC voltage on the terminal 'BAT+' & 'BAT-' above (the last
two terminals on the extreme right on the rear panel). The reading on
a DC voltmeter should be greater than or equal to 220 V DC.
a) At this point, the front panel 'ON/OFF' switch should be switched ON.
The 'INVERTER' LED on the front panel will start glowing gradually to
full brightness. After this action in about 17 seconds clicking sound will
be heard, which will connect the output to the inverter.
b) The battery can now be connected and the battery isolator can be
switched ON now.
