Alternator charging coil
Caution
The check of alternator charging coil and
●
illumination coil can be done when the
alternator is mounted on engine.
Check
Remove the 4P coupler of the alternator.
Measure the resistance between the white wire on
the alternator and frame ground with a
multi-meter.
Standard value: 0.2-1.0Ω
Replace the alternator charging coil if the
measured value exceeds standard.
Alternator lighting coil
Check
Remove the 4P coupler of the alternator.
Measure the resistance between the yellow wire
on the alternator and frame ground by multi-meter.
Standard value: 0.1-0.8Ω
Resistor check
Remove the front cover.
Measure the resistance between the resistor wire
(pink & green/black) and frame ground.
Standard: 30W/5.9Ω±10% (pink)
HU10U/W 5W/10.2Ω±10% (green/black)
HU05U 5W/12Ω±10% (green/black)
