Installing a Power Supply

If the server has only one power supply, you can install a second power supply for
redundancy.

▼ Install a Power Supply

1. Attach an antistatic wrist strap.

2. Prepare the server to install options.

Note – You do not need to remove the server's cover to install a power supply.
3. Unpack the power supply and place it on an antistatic mat.
4. Install the power supply.
a. Remove the filler panel from the server's power supply bay.
b. Align the power supply with the empty power supply chassis bay.
c. Slide the power supply into the bay until it is fully seated (see
