Fireplace Placement Requirements
•
Fireplace must be installed on a level surface capable of supporting the fireplace and vent
•
Fireplace must be placed directly on wood or non-combustible surface (not on linoleum or carpet)
•
Fireplace should be located out of traffic and away from furniture and draperies.
•
Fireplace must be placed so the gaps below and above the glass frame do not become blocked.
•
Fireplace may be placed in a bedroom. Please be aware of the large amount of heat this appliance
produces when determining a location.
Clearances
(a) Clearance to Side and Rear of Fireplace 0" (0mm)
(b) When installed, walls in front of the fireplace must be a minimum 5" (127mm) to the side of the
fireplace. Do not place insulation in this space.
(c) Clearance to Angled Sides of Fireplace ½" (12mm)

•
The fireplace (and hearth, if desired) may be placed on a platform designed to support the fireplace
and vent.
