An amber LED on the front also indicates the battery pack charging status. The inserted battery pack is
under charging when blinking. When lit, battery is fully charged.

Using Battery Power

A full-charged Li-Ion battery pack will provide approximately 4 to 5 hours of working to the Notebook
PC. But the actual figure will vary depending on how you use the power saving features, your general
work habits, and the type of CPU, main memory size and LCD display your Notebook PC has.
The Low Battery Warning Beep is automatically enabled in Windows 95. However, POWER.EXE
must be enabled in order to use the Low Battery Warning Beep function in DOS. In Windows 3.1,
W31-APM must be enabled to use the battery warning beep feature. POWER.EXE must be loaded via
5
a DEVICE= line in CONFIG.SYS in order to report the status of the battery while using DOS or
Windows 3.x. POWER.EXE is not necessary when running Windows 95. For additional information,
please see your DOS and Windows 3.1 User's Manuals for details.
Battery Gauge & Charging Status
The battery status icon on the system status panel indicates the approximate battery via bars in the 4-
level-bar gauge and also indicates the charging status of battery pack by the outline of icon when
blinking.
When the pack initially reaches the very low battery state approximately 5% of a full-charged battery
is left. When the lowest bar of the 4-level-bar gauge start to flash and you can hear an audible beep
signal alerting you to the very low battery status for indicating " Battery Low ".
