RAM
RAM is an abbreviation for Random Access Memory. There are several different types of RAM. The
Notebook PC's system memory utilizes Synchronized Dynamic RAM (SDRAM) modules. And the
memory cache employs another kind of fast RAM chip called Static RAM (SRAM).
Resolution
Resolution refers to the quality of an image in terms of clarity and fineness of detail attained by a
monitor, a scanner or a printer.
Resume
A resume operation returns the computer to full power operation from or Stand-by or Suspend mode.
ROM
ROM is an abbreviation for Read Only Memory. As its name implies, new data cannot be written to
ROM; the system can only read data stored in ROM.
System Disk
A system disk contains the core file of an operating system and is used to boot up the operating system.
