The Floppy Drive Module

Your Notebook PC features a removable 3.5 inch floppy drive module. It can use both the double
density-720KB and the high-density 1.44MB format floppy diskettes. The modular design provide
you convenience to put into the device bay for carry out. One specific external cable(PACB-FD01) is
offered. You can use both FDD and CD-ROM through connecting FDD module to the parallel port and

insert CD-ROM drive module into the storage device bay. Due to the BIOS booting process, a hot or
warn-swapping and to attempt connecting external cable when system on are not acceptable, please
turn off system power first.

Removing the Floppy Drive Module

The Notebook PC is shipped with the Floppy Drive Module already inserted in the device bay. To
remove the floppy drive module from the device bay, please refer to the following instructions.
1. Turn off the Notebook PC's power.
2. Turn the Notebook PC so that its underside is facing up and its front is facing you.
3. Locate the device module knob marker with
on the bottom side of the Notebook PC. Slide
the knob to the left to eject the module.

4. Gently pull the module out of its bay.
