Avoid exhaustive discharge :
Do not wait until the blade comes to an absolute stop (battery

If the output of the chainsaw decreases noticeably, charge
the battery.
If the battery has been totally discharged, the LED will flash at
the start of charging. If the LED is still flashing after an hour, a
fault has occurred (see 9. Troubleshooting).
ATTENTION! Insufficient lubrication will provoke
chain breaking and can cause serious injury.
Refer to "Maintenance & Storage" for indications on
ensuring that the chain oil is sufficiently distributed.
Choice of chain oil
Use oil which is approved by GARDENA.
We advise the use GARDENA oil, Art. 6006 or bio chain oil from
your local dealer.
Filling oil tank
Unscrew the oil tank cap, and fill the tank
any oil (if this occurs clean the machine carefully) and then screw
the cap back on tightly.
