Limbing
Once the tree has been felled, the trunk must be limbed: in other
words, the branches are removed from the trunk. Do not underesti-
mate this operation because the large majority of kickback accidents
occur during this stage. For this reason pay close attention to the po-
sition of the bar nose during cutting operations and always work on
the left hand side of the trunk.
Start-up: grip both handles firmly, release the chain brake lever
whilst ensuring hand is still on front handle, press and maintain
the switch block

Stopping: The machine will stop whenever the switch is released
or by activating the chain brake.

The product must be stored out of reach of children.
1. Allow the product to cool down and place the cover over the bar
and chain.
2. Remove the battery (see 5. Initial Operation)

4. Store the product in a dry place protected from frost. Do not store
outdoors.
5. Ensure the oil does not leak out from the product.
The Battery Chainsaw must not be added to normal household
waste. It must be disposed of in line with local environmental
regulations.
 
Important : Make sure that the unit is disposed of via your
municipal recycling collection centre.
The GARDENA Battery Chainsaw contains lithium-ion batteries
that should not be discarded with normal household waste at the
end of their life.
Important :
Please return the lithium-ion batteries to your GARDENA dealer
or dispose of them properly at a public recycling centre.
1. Discharge lithium-ion cells completely.
2. Dispose of lithium-ion cells properly.
