You can name all the radio stations
you have stored. Choosing a name is
completely up to you.
If you happen to make a mistake or
change your mind while you are
naming a radio station, simply press
the NAMING button again – and
start over.
If you want to clear the name after
you have keyed it in, press CLEAR
instead of OK and the name you
have keyed in will be erased.
*NOTE! Such a name can only be transmitted if
your BeoSound 9000 is equipped with the RDS
facility. The RDS facility is not a standard feature
in all BeoSound 9000, but it will be available as an
optional extra.

Naming your radio stations can help you
remember a station not only by its number but
by a particular name. When you are listening
to a radio station, its name will appear in the
display*. Once you have completed entering
a name, you store the name and it will then
appear every time you choose this station
again.
RADIO Press to turn on the
radio station you want
to name
NAMING Press to start the naming

function. The fi rst of the
twelve character positions
blinks, indicating that
you can start entering a
name

Press to reveal the
characters one by one

Press to reveal previously
shown characters
OK Press to move to the
next character position
OK Press to store the name
of the radio station
NAMING OK will appear
NAMING OK
in the display
RADIO Press to store he name
and exit the naming
function
You can press RADIO at any time to store and exit
the naming function...

Clear a name

If you have left the naming function and
want to clear the name, return to the naming
function and clear the name. If you do not
name your stations, the station's own name
may appear instead, provided such a name is
being transmitted by the radio station itself*.
