How the ESC code is processed
• When the ESC code is received, ESCAPE mode is entered, but in combination with the code(s) that follow(s), a specific meaning is added.
• If ESC codes are received continuously, ESCAPE mode is retained.
Key Input Operation / purpose
[ESC] → [A.MON]
Turns on/off EE mode cyclically
Starts the EE system in EE mode
[PLAY]
(main-unit setting rate)
[STOP] Stops the EE system in EE mode
V-mode recording:
After recording for 10 seconds, the
unit starts playback while
displaying the error rate.
[ESC] → [SIDEB]
DVD-Video:
The error rate is automatically
measured, then the result will be
displayed.
Enters Adjustment mode for AVIO
[ESC] → [CHP/TIM]
