GENERAL SAFETY RULES Warning! Read all instructions, Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. The term “Power Tool” in all of the warnings listed below refers to your mains operated (corded) power tool or battery operated (cordless) power tool. - Page 5 GENERAL SAFETY RULES (cont.) • Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury. • Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
- Page 6 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR RANDOM ORBITAL SANDERS Do not run the tool with pad removed. The resulting vibration could cause loss of control. Always unplug the sander cord from the mains before changing the sanding disc. Danger! Lead based paints should only be removed by a professional. Do not attach cutting discs or blades, this tool is not designed for such accessories.

OPERATION Switch The tool is turned on by the switch located on the front of the tool housing. To turn the tool on, depress the switch to the “I” setting. To turn the tool off, depress the switch to the “0” setting. The switch is covered by a clear rubber dust seal. - Page 8 OPERATION (cont.) Dust Bag The dust extraction system extracts sanding dust from the work piece through the holes in the backing pad. The dust is then transferred through the dust extraction port on the rear of the sander housing. To capture this dust it is best to attach the dust bag included.
