Remove∙the∙cover∙on∙the∙back∙of∙the∙remote∙control∙and∙insert∙the∙batteries∙with∙the∙(+)∙and∙(-)∙poles∙pointing∙in∙the∙proper∙direction.

Use∙only∙AAA∙or∙IEC∙R03∙1.5V∙batteries.
Remove the batteries if the remote control is not used for a month or longer.
Do not attempt to recharge the supplied batteries.
All∙batteries∙should∙be∙replaced∙at∙the∙same∙time∙,∙do∙not∙mix∙old∙battery.
Do∙not∙dispose∙of∙the∙batteries∙in∙a∙fire∙as∙they∙may∙explode.

1. before use
- Check∙that∙the∙Exhaust∙Hose∙has∙been∙mounted∙properly∙(see∙'Installation'∙section).∙If∙the∙Exhaust∙Hose∙is∙not∙correctly∙used,∙hot∙air∙will∙blow∙back∙into∙the∙room∙you∙are∙trying∙to∙cool.
-∙Check∙that∙the∙drain∙plug∙at∙the∙bottom∙rear∙of∙the∙unit∙is∙securely∙plugged∙in,∙to∙prevent∙water∙leaks∙(see∙'8.∙Draining∙the∙Water∙Tank').
- Check that the local main power matches that shown on the rating label of the unit.
-∙Check∙that∙the∙location∙of∙the∙unit∙is∙suitable∙(flat,∙stable∙surface;∙away∙from∙sources∙of∙water∙/∙heat).
- If the unit has recently been transported, let it stand for 3 hours to allow the compressor contents to settle.
