The error codes indicating the status of the equipment may appear on the touch panel. You can find the listings of these
error codes in Chapter 7.

10 Messages Displayed on the Touch Panel
Problem Description
A toner is running out. "***" indicates
the color.
(The colors are shown in
abbreviations when two or more
toners are running out: Y: yellow,
M:magenta, C:cyan, and K:black)
The waste toner box is not securely
attached or the waste toner box cover
is open.
The waste toner box is full.
The Hole Punch Unit dust bin is full.
The number of image scanning
exceeded the maximum (about 1000
in A4 or LT).
Internal memory available ran out
while scanning.
Corrective Action
Check the color of the toner on the touch panel and
prepare the toner cartridge.
(About 4000 copies more can be made after this
message appears.)
Replace a toner cartridge after the message
[Install new *** toner cartridge] is displayed.
Black and white print is available while the
other colors has run out. Neither color nor
black and white print can be done when the
black toner has run out.
If you replace a toner cartridge with a new one
while some toner is still left, make sure to
clear the counter. This is necessary for the
equipment to display the next "Toner near
Empty" message at the proper time. For the
procedure, see below.

Confirm the waste toner box is securely mounted and
close the waste toner box cover.

Replace the waste toner box following the guidance
displayed on the touch panel.

panel. To delete the stored data, press [NO].
