1. About this manual

The Document Centre ColorSeries 50 may be
used as a standalone copier, as illustrated in
Figure 1, or it may be combined with an external
Digital Front End to function as a copier/printer.
Therefore, this manual refers to the unit as either
the "Document Centre ColorSeries 50," the
"Document Centre ColorSeries 50 copier/printer,"
or simply the "copier/printer."
For more information about how the unit functions
as a printer, refer to the Document Centre
ColorSeries Digital Copier/Printer User Guide .
This chapter introduces the organization,
contents, and conventions of this manual.
