Does the Model 561 have a water filter? Where is it located. I cannot find a service manual online for this model.

Yes, the Sub-Zero 500 series models, including Model 561, have a water filter. It is located on the upper section behind the top grill, which can be lifted without tools and will lock into place.

We have a Sub Zero Model 642 that has stopped making ice. What is the likely issue that has resulted in this problem? Initially, we were getting just a few ice cubes in the bin along with water that eventually froze in the bottom of the bin. Is this a pump problem? It's about 20 years old now, and the first problem we've experienced.

A Sub-Zero 500 series ice maker may stop making ice due to several possible issues:

1. Ice maker is turned off.
2. Ice bucket is not in position.
3. Water supply is not connected or has low pressure.
4. Ice maker fill tube is frozen.
5. Freezer temperature is too warm (must be below 10°F).
6. Ice cubes are jammed.
7. Water valve is energized too long (over 15 seconds).

Check each of these factors to identify and resolve the issue.
