Priming
1. Ensure all outlet discharge devices (such as taps and trigger nozzles) are in the
fully open position, to allow all the air in the system to escape.
2. Remove transparent filter cover (2) by turning it anti-clockwise using the filter
cover spanner (10) (Fig. 8).
3. Remove filter (8) together with the non-return valve (9). Use two hands to
remove as it can stick. When removed place on a clean surface as any dirt
around the filter (8) and non-return valve (9) may prevent effective seal and
correct operation. Slowly fill the pump housing with water until full (Fig.9) (it
should take approx. 3 liters to fill the pump to the required level).
CAUTION: Care is to be taken when removing filter (8) and non-return valve (9)
from pump as they can separate.
Note: If less than 2.5 liters enter the pump this means there is an air lock in the pump, ensure that all discharge
devices are fully open to allow air to dispel from the pump housing.
4. Re-fit the filter (8) together with the non-return valve (9). Push in firmly. Re-fit and tighten the filter cover (2).
Note: O-ring seal on filter cover (2) may dislodge when removing from pump, ensure proper fitment as this may
prevent effective seal and correct operation.
5. Open the gate valve to allow water to flow from your tank to the pump.
6. Turn on the constant pressure pump (refer to instruction manual page 14 OPERATION, for procedure).
7. It may take a few minutes for the pump to completely prime.
Note: Do not let the pump run for longer than about 20-30 minutes without water circulation or overheating
may occur.
8. Once the pump has achieved circulation, some air may still be in the pump when the discharge device is opened.
9. Close the discharge device and let the pump pressurize.
10. The pump will automatically shutoff once it is fully pressurized.
Note: If the pump starts to turn on and off check inlet and out let plumbings and fittings to ensure there are no
visible leaks and repeat the above process.
