Discharge Outlet
Connecting Hose or Pipe to the Discharge Outlet
Caution: Only use the supplied 25.4mm ("1") male threaded hose adaptor or an adaptor similar size & dimensions
or damage may occur to the pump.
1. Remove the plastic protection cover from the discharge outlet (1) pump
housing (Fig. 6).
Note: Teflon tape (not included) is required on threads to ensure a water tight
seal and prevent any leakage.
2. Insert the supplied 25.4mm (1") male threaded hose adaptor (11) onto the
discharge outlet (1) (Fig. 7). Securely attach the output hose to the other end.
Ensure you have the correct diameter of hose or pipe if using the supplied
25.4mm (1") male double ended adaptor (12), that is compatible with your
water discharge application.
Note: The input hose or pipe you are using must have a minimum diameter
of 19mm (
/
").

Note: Ensure the discharge hose or pipe is not restricted in anyway and no pressure is obstructing the hose or
pipe when the pump is in operation.
Priming Guide
The constant pressure pump is the heart of the system. Sometimes the constant pressure pump will be on but
not moving any water. Constant Pressure pumps are designed to pump water and can handle a small amount of
air in the system. If too much air enters the system, the pump may fail to move water or "Loose the Prime". Air
can enter the system in many ways. It is important to determine why the pump lost its prime before you try to get
it circulating again or you may not succeed.
Be sure to keep the O-Ring on the Filter cover lubricated with "petroleum jelly" to help the lid seal correctly and
to allow easier removal of the lid. When the pump is operating correctly the pump lid is under suction and the
pump will naturally squeeze the lid tight. It is important NOT to over tighten the pump lid or removal will be
difficult. When the pump is operating correctly, it will appear as though there is NO water in the pump. What
you are viewing is 100% water in the pump basket and no air. With no air bubbles swirling and only water, it
appears as if the filter is empty.
