Troubleshooting Guide

The following guide will help assist you in identifying and correction common problems
with your XTR-S:
Symptoms
The charger light turns
green right away.
When charger is plugged
in, red light continually
blinks.
Batteries do not hold a
charge. Unit does not
have specified travel
range.
Unit moves intermittently,
or very slow.
Unit will not move when
throttle lever is activated.
Unit stops abruptly during
use.
Potential Causes
This is indicates the
batteries are adequately
charged. Most units
come charged in the box.
Unit has gone into deep
discharge, and charger
requires time to identify
battery status.
Batteries have reached
the end of their useful
life.
Charger is
malfunctioning.
Batteries not fully
charged.
Throttle cable is loose.
Throttle cable is loose.
Batteries not fully
charged.
Batteries have reached
the end of their useful
life.
Circuit breaker has
"tripped".

Solutions
No action needed.
Leave charger plugged in
and attached for 60
minutes. The charger light
should turn solid red, and
charge as normal.
Replace batteries.
Replace charger unit.
Charge batteries.
Tighten cable.
Tighten cable.
Charge batteries.
Replace batteries.
Allow electric motor to
cool and re-set circuit
breaker by lowering and
raising the kickstand lever,
or turning power switch on
and off, (see page 7).
