Slip the Wheel onto the Spindle. For
wheels with paper gaskets (blotters)
or metal gaskets: Slip the grind-
ing wheel onto the Spindle with the
gasket first. The gasket should be
centered on the grinding wheel and
the wheel and gasket should rest flat
against the Inner Flange.
warning: to prevent serious
injury, gaskets must be used for all
grinding wheels they are provided
with. gaskets help prevent grind-
ing wheel damage and wheel slip-
page, causes of wheel failure.
6.
Position the Outer Flange (17) back
onto the Spindle.
note: For Wheels thicker than 3/16" thick,
put the Outer Flange on, raised
side first, so that the raised ridge
fits into the Wheel's hole. For thin-
ner Wheels, put the Outer Flange on
so that the indented side faces the
Wheel.
7.
Tighten with the Spanner only
enough so that the wheel is securely
held on the spindle.
