Sound adjustments
You can adjust the bass and treble levels
to suit your personal taste.
You can also alter the balance between
the left and right speakers of the
BeoCenter. This function enables you to
direct the sound emerging from the
speakers towards your favourite
listening position.
The BeoCenter 2300 also features a
loudness function which you can cut in
or out as you like.
The loudness function is used to
compensate for the human ear's lack of
sensitivity to high and low frequencies
when listening to low volume levels. It
"boosts" the low and high frequencies
so that the music becomes more
dynamic.
When the BeoCenter leaves the factory, all these
sound levels are set to neutral values which suit
the majority of situations.
S E T T I N G
S O U N D
The SOUND button in the left-hand
section of the operating panel gives
access to adjusting sound. Each time you
press SOUND a cue appears in the
display, indicating which adjustment
can be made. The current setting is
indicated to the right of the cue.
You will use the buttons
STEP
If you only want to adjust volume, you
need not press SOUND to enter the
sound adjustment function. You can
simply press the buttons
directly.
The MUTE button enables you to mute
the sound immediately, without
switching off.
The cues appear in this order:
VOL
BAL
BASS
TREB
LOUDNESS

Volume can be adjusted within a range of 0
(sound muted) to 90.

Balance can be adjusted within a range of 7 to
either side (shown as 7
G
Bass and treble can be adjusted within a range
of -6 to +6.
G
Loudness can be set on or off: LOUDNESS
glowing steadily for "on" and flashing for
"off".
