Using the Vehicle Cradle

To charge the terminal's battery using the Vehicle Cradle:
1. Connect the cradle to a power source.
Note: For detailed instructions on power connection, refer to the
VCD8000-R000 Quick Reference Guide.
2. Insert the terminal into the cradle. The terminal starts to charge automatically.

The terminal charge LED blinks amber to indicate that the terminal battery is charging and
turns solid amber when charging is complete. The battery fully charges in less than four
hours, if the terminal is not in use. See
indications.
Note: If the cradle is connected to unswitched power, leaving the terminal
in the cradle for an extended period of time will eventually deplete
the vehicle battery.
