Top Vent Conversion Instructions
This appliance has outlets for both top and rear venting. The unused vent exit must have the appropriate cover plates in place and the
cover plate must be removed according to instructions from the exit to be used.
All components removed from the fireplace rear vent will be re-installed for the top vent.
8.1.1
Remove Back Vent Collars
1. Remove back cover and attachment screw. See Illustration 1 in Figure 8.1, Back Vent Collar Removal.
2. Remove 6-5/8 in. combustion air intake collar and (4) screws. See Illustration 2.
3. Remove 4 in. exhaust collar and (6) screws. See Illustration 3.

Remove Top Vent Combustion Air Intake and Exhaust Collars
1.
Remove top cover and screw. See Illustration 1 in Figure 8.2.
2.
Remove 6-5/8" (168 mm) combustion air intake cover, gasket and (4) screws. See Illustration 2.
3.
Remove exhaust cover, gasket and (6) screws. See Illustration 3.
