A possible cause for the Rikon 51-200 sander to start and then shut off, preventing it from running again, could be the use of an adapter, which is prohibited in Canada. Using unapproved parts or modifications can lead to equipment malfunction. Additionally, attempting to operate the machine before it is fully assembled or if parts are missing may also cause it to shut off. Another potential cause is improper use of the disc brake, especially applying it while the switch is in the "ON" position, which can damage the brake or disc.
