Wi-Fi Protected Setup
WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) was created and developed by the Wi-Fi Alliance. This
feature can help to simplify the procedure of configuring security on a wireless net-
work instead of entering all the required data manually. WPS only works with either
WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK encryption method.
There are 2 types for the WPS: Push-Button Configuration (PBC) and PIN code.
Push-Button Configuration (PBC): Push a simulated push button in the software
(shown in WEB configuration interface) on the wireless client to initiate WPS
mode. You will also need to press the actual WPS button of the Wireless Router.
PIN: Either enter the PIN number which is founded in the utility of the client device,
or enter the PIN number shown on the screen of the Wireless Router into the util-
ity of client device.
Click Wi-Fi Protected Setup on the Wireless screen to view a screen like the following.
