Wide Rec
When recording standard definition image
quality (STD) movies, you can select the
horizontal to vertical ratio according to the
TV connected. Refer also to the instruction
manuals supplied with your TV.
 16:9 WIDE
Records movies to the full screen on a 16:9
(wide) TV screen.
4:3 ( )
Records movies to the full screen on a 4:3
TV screen.

Notes
Set [Down Convert Type] correctly according

to the TV connected for playback (p. 93).
Image Size
You can select a size for the photos you are
going to shot.

12.3M (
Records photos with the highest quality at the
16:9 (wide) ratio (4,672 × 2,628).
9.2M ( )
Records photos with high quality (3,504 ×
2,628).
3.3M ( )
Records photos clearly (2,112 × 1,584).
VGA(0.3M) (
Allows the maximum number of photos to be
recorded (640 × 480).

Notes
The selected image size is effective when the

(Photo) lamp is lit.



Media Info
You can check the remaining recordable
time for each recording mode of the
recording media for movies and the
approximate free and used media space of
the recording media.
To turn off the display
Touch .

Notes
Since there is a management file area, the

used space is not displayed as 0 % even if you
perform [Format] (p. 58).
Tips

The camcorder can display the information of

the medium selected on [Media Select] (p. 26).
Change the medium setting if necessary.
