Ringer Setup
10.8.1
Change Ringer Melody
There are 10 base ringer melodies to choose from for external calls.
Press
and
/
to select "SETTINGS".
Press
to show "RING SETUP".
Press
to show "EXT. RING", then press
(the current melody, where X = 1 to 10).
Press
/
to scroll through the Melody list (from 1 to 10).
Press
to confirm the setting.
Note:
The respective ringer melody will be played during your selection.

Change Ringer Volume
You can adjust the volume level of the ringer for external calls with settings from 1 (the quietest) to 5
(loudest), or turn it "OFF".
Press

to select "SETTINGS".
Press
to show "RING SETUP".
Press
to show "EXT. RING", then press
step through the volume levels "OFF", 1 to 5.
Press
to confirm the setting.
Note:
The respective ringer volume will be played during your selection. If "VOLUME OFF" is selected, the
icon will display.

Set the Dial Mode
You should normally leave the dialling mode at its default setting of "TONE" (also called DTMF) unless the
phone is connected to an old exchange that only recognises "PULSE" dialling.
In Idle:
Press

to select "SETTINGS".
Press

to select "DIAL MODE".
Press
and
/
to select "TONE" or "PULSE".
Press
to confirm.

Set the Recall (Flash) Time
You may need to change the recall (flash) time if your phone is connected to a PBX. The recall time options
are "SHORT" (the default value of 100ms), "MEDIUM" (300ms) or "LONG" (600ms).
In Idle:
Press

to select "SETTINGS".
Press

to select "FLASH TIME".
Press

to select the desired flash time, from "SHORT", "MEDIUM" and "LONG".

to confirm.

Set the Key Tone
The Key Tone is a confirmation beep when you press any key. It is set on by default, but can be turned off,
if desired.
In Idle:

to select "SETTINGS".
Press

to select "KEY TONE".

to select "ON" or "OFF".
Press
to confirm.
