8. Self-Check and Calibration

Accuracy Self-Check
1. Set up the instrument on a table 33 ft. (10m) away from an
indoor wall, and press the power switch to put the instrument
in quick scan status.
2. Make a mark A at the laser beam projected on the front wall.
Note: it should not be too bright indoors, otherwise the laser
beam on wall will become unclear.
3. Rotate the instrument by 90° in turn, and mark B, C, D
respectively on the wall.
4. Measure the distance h between the highest and the lowest
point among A, B, C, D.
5. If h≤0.079" (2mm) the accuracy is within tolerance. If
2≤h≤0.394" (10mm), users can make accuracy calibration by
themselves. If h≤0.394" (10mm), reference section 12 of this
document.
