• Press the
up or down to select POSITION IN and push it
in to open the position data Input destination setting pull-down
menu. Press the
NMEA. When ANT is selected, the navigational information input
from the GPS100 or DGPS200 connected to the GPS/DGPS
connector on the rear panel is displayed. When NMEA is selected, the
navigational information input from the external navigation aids is
displayed.
Note:
When you input the navigational information data from the GPS/
DGPS or the external navigation aids, you need to connect the
specified signal line to the GPS/DGPS connector or the NMEA
connector on the rear panel, refer to "Connecting GPS/DGPS Sensor
or Making NMEA0183 Data Connections (option)" p.40. In
addition, after connecting the external navigation aids, be sure to
check that the NMEA0183 sentences of $xxGGA or $xxRMC are
output from the connected external navigation aids. (You can check
this easily using the selftest mode of the FF50.)

Power Down Control

• You can set the transmission power level of the high and low
frequencies using this item. The transmission power level is set to the
maximum on shipping from the factory. In an area of heavy sea traffic,
use this function to lower the level if your transmission influences
other fish finders.
• Press the
up or down to select PDC and push it in to open
the POWER DOWN CONTROL Setting pull-down menu. Press the
up or down to select HI (high frequency) or LO (low
frequency), and press it to the left or right to select A, B or C. The
transmission power is the lowest when A is selected, and it is the
highest when C is selected. Normally, select C.

EXP Range Mode Setting

• You can select a setting method of ZOOM RANGE and BTM
RANGE using this item.
• Press the
up or down to select EXP RANGE MODE and
push it in to open the EXP RANGE MODE setting pull-down menu.
Press the
to the left or right to select RATIO or FIX. When
RATIO is selected, ZOOM RANGE and BTM RANGE are set by a
magnification (x2, x4, x6, x8) relative to STD RANGE, or set by a
fixed value when FIX is selected.
