Operation on an alarm system without event transmission and
monitoring
When a phone is operated on an alarm system without event transmission and moni-
toring, again only two types of alarm triggers can be differentiated:
• Manual trigger using the SOS key
• Automatic trigger using a sensor (man-down, no-movement or escape alarm).
With both trigger types an alarm is transmitted to the alarm server with different
parameters. The alarm server uses the parameters to evaluate the incoming alarms
and responds accordingly.
By configuring an alarm server you have the following possibilities at your disposal:
• Transmit alarm texts to a phone
• Specify the type of alarm ring tone on the phone
• Display softkeys on the phone and respond to user inputs
• Delete alarms on a phone.
This configuration can only be made by your system administrator.
To use the phone together with an alarm system with event transmission and moni-
toring, you need to activate the alarm server mode.
