Playing MP3 CDs

What is MP3?

MP3 is a format for storing digital audio. MP3 is used mostly for music distribution on the internet.
If you have downloaded MP3 files from the internet onto a CD-R, you can play that CD on your
DVD player.

Loading and Playing an MP3 CD

Before you load a disc, make sure that it is compatible with the player. Note that the following
discs CANNOT be used with this player:
Laserdisc
CD-I, DVD-ROM
MiniDisc
Discs recorded using other color TV systems
(i.e. PAL or SECAM)
To Load and Play a MP3 CD
Make sure that you have properly connected the DVD player (see "Setup and Connections")
before you begin.
1. Press the OPEN•CLOSE button on the front of the DVD player.
2. Place a disc gently into the tray with the disc's label facing up.
3. Press OPEN•CLOSE to close the disc tray.
4. Press PLAY to begin disc playback.
The DVD player reads the disc's table of contents, and then displays the MP3 menu.
5. Press STOP to stop playback.
