SIM card
All your personal phone settings are programmed and stored in the
Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card.
The SIM card provides you with personal mobility as you can easily
move it to another cordless phone, enabling you to receive calls,
make calls and keep all your personal settings such as Phonebook,
identity, alert signal, and your defined functions of the Soft keys and
Hot keys
Changing the SIM card
Remove the battery as described.
See section "Battery" on page 117.
Slide the SIM card out of position.
Insert the new SIM card and slide it into position.
Changing SIM parameters
The SIM card parameters can be altered from the phone but also
by using a SIM card programmer. The parameters can be saved to
file from the SIM card programmer software to be able to give the
same parameter settings to several phones.
The file can also be used to reset the parameters to default values.
The SIM card programmer is delivered with a CD containing
required software.
DT412/422/432 functionality using a DT400/410/420/
430 SIM card
The phone can be used with a SIM card for the DT400/410/420/
430 phones but the functionality will be limited as described below:
Man-down alarm does not work.
Central phonebook from Contacts menu is not available.
Modes are not available.
Switch off from Modes menu is not possible.
Services are not available.
Internal/External and Callback call has same ring signal setting.
Soft keys cannot be used.
Some Hot key short-cuts cannot be used
