Menu Item.
 Rotate the DIAL selector knob to set the Time-Out
Timer to the desired "Maximum TX" time (1 min-
ute, 3 minutes or 5 minutes).
 When you have made your selection, press the
key to save the new setting, then press the PTT key
repetitively until the radio exit to normal operation.
Note: Because battery life is significantly enhanced by
making only brief transmissions from your radio, try
setting your FTA-720's TOT function to time out at one
minute.

Programming the Key Assignments

The
key is a user-programmable key that may be set
up for a pair of functions you use particularly frequently.
The default
key functions, as set up at the factory,
have been assigned to the ANL feature (press key) and
to the "Large Font" feature (press and hold key) at the
factory. These may be changed by the user, if you wish
to utilize another function or functions.
To program the function assigned to a key:
 Press the
