To retrieve incoming call logs on a Polycom VVX 410 phone, press the left arrow on the directional pad to access received calls. However, the phone only displays a limited recent call history. If the calls from over a week ago are no longer visible on the phone, you need to gather logs using the web utility:

1. Find the phone's IP address and enter it into a web browser on a computer on the same network.
2. Log in as Admin using the default password "654".
3. Go to "Settings" > "Logging".
4. Set "Global Log Level Limit" to "Debug" and Log File size to "1000".
5. Set individual log levels (SIP: Debug, Support Objects: Event 2, Application: Event 2, PPS: Event 3).
6. Save settings.
7. Go to "Diagnostics" > "View & Download Logs".
8. From there, view or download logs that may contain older call data.

Note: Logs must have been enabled before the calls occurred to retrieve this data.

To sync your Polycom telephone, follow these steps:

1. Connect the handset: Plug one end of the cable into the small socket on the bottom of the handset, and the other end into the Handset socket on the back of the phone.

2. Connect to the network: Plug the Ethernet cable into the network port on the back of the phone to establish an internet connection.

3. Connect power: If your network supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), the phone will power up through the Ethernet cable. If not, plug the supplied power adapter into the 24V DC socket on the back of the phone.

4. Attach the base stand: Insert the top tab of the stand into the slot in the bottom of the phone and clip the rest into place.

5. Auto-configuration: Once powered and connected to the internet, the phone will automatically download a user-specific configuration.

These steps will sync your Polycom phone with the network.

how do i change the voicemail on the phone

BILL ROMANO, PROPERTY MANAGER BHHS-Florida Network Realty

I was told that with our new phone system the only way to forward calls to a cell phone is via programming at the PBX. Is this true? I've never heard of a phone system that doesn't allow call forwarding right on the phone. Our office is in Palm Coast Florida.
