Powering on the Alarm

To turn on the alarm:
• Insert two AAA batteries
• Push the Schlage button for 5 seconds
The alarm is activated when a light flashes
around the Schlage button.
Important: The alarm has been pre-set
to the Forced Entry setting and is ready to
use. If you wish to switch to another alert
setting (three options: Activity, Tamper
and Forced Entry), turn to page four for
instructions. The different alert settings
are explained on pages 6-8.
TIP: Not sure your alarm is activated?
Simply press the Schlage button and it will
beep and light up to confirm it is activated.
If it does not, confirm new batteries are
installed properly. Then press the Schlage
button for 5 seconds (until it beeps) to power
on the alarm.

Powering off the Alarm

To turn the product completely off:
• Push the Schlage button until you see the
second LED flash – then let go
• The alarm functionality is now completely
turned off. You can verify this by quickly
pushing the Schlage button – there should
be no light or beep when you push the
button.
